So there was a threat called in that hijackers were waiting in the wheel wells of a couple arriving aircraft. Nobody was willing to tell the pilots anything. One pilot got angry.
"Can you contact your company? Do they have any information for you?" the air traffic controller asks the pilot in the audio recordings.
"Negative, they're not answering. What do you have?" the pilot asks.
"I don't have a thing at this moment, except that you and the aircraft beside you need to wait in that area," the controller says.
The pilot says, "OK, we're surrounded by emergency vehicles. There's a reason for this. Somebody's got to give us the reason, or we're going to evacuate the aircraft. You got 60 seconds."
Finally, the controller tells the pilot, "We have the information. Can you possibly call?"
The pilot responds, "Negative. I would demand the information right now over a frequency."
Let me see...Hijackers, wearing GAS MASKs were hiding in the wheel wells of a jet. Presumably they were going to wait until it landed? with limited fuel at a major airport and hijack it.
They have to keep instilling the fear in order to maintain the multi billion dollar CASA system going. And it had 4 Air marshalls on board! WTF/ Imagine if they funneled all that money towards better pilot wages. Hell, I'll help screen people as they board if it will help.
When I think of all that money being wasted on smoke and mirrors, it makes me gag.
End of rant

I found a copy of the ATC feed if anyone else is interested in listening!
Turns out I can't upload mp3's. I guess that makes sense. If you want to here the audio pm me an email and I will send you a copy. I would link where I got it but it is from another forum and I don't know if that is against the rules.
I can understand not wanting to tell the pilot what's up, in case you're actually talking to a hijacker who's already taken over the cockpit. But when you've already been guided to an isolated part of the field, and you're surrounded by cop cars, surely even the dumbest hijacker would have already figured it out.

The odds of a hijacker getting into the cockpit of an American or Canadian airliner these days is slim to nil. There is simply no excuse for not telling the pilots why there were suddenly surrounded by emergency vehicles. In fact by not telling them they actually increased the risk of a hijacker gaining control. If they knew the situation they would likely have taken steps to ensure the cockpit was not compromised
