According to CJCD there were 6 on board. Figured it would be some camera crew.

OK, so what happened today in the Knife, that has you boys talking in code'
Re: Ice Pilots - Season 3
Buffalo Electra landed with one main gear not extended & shut down the main rwy for a while. Haven't seen anything official, but there was a notam stating the rwy was closed & fire response lowered.

Re: Ice Pilots - Season 3
I just watched the first episode of Ice Pilots NWT on The Weather Channel in the US last night while sitting in a hotel room.
The introduction had a different song then the Canadian version and the show was edited down to 30 minutes per episode. They also did some strange editing with the video.
They took out all of the employee drama and concentrated on the aircraft flying in the cold weather and some of the technical aspects from the show.
In my opinion the Canadian version is a lot more interesting. I guess if there were more American flags in the background they might have just stuck to the original.

Yellowknife's Jim Essery, 58, is believed to be the man found dead Saturday [01Sept12] afternoon after having drowned in a lake.
While the RCMP has not released the person's identity, Buffalo Airways staff member Mikey McBryan told CBC News it was Essery who passed away. Essery was a long-time mechanic with the northern airline.
