Mercer is an ex-Air Cadet, and when I heard he was going to do a show on the program, I was a little concerned that in today's PC atmosphere he'd sacrifice the military conduct aspect and make it seem un-cool in exchange for some momentary cheap laughs on TV.
I was glad that he remained true to his roots and represented Air Cadets well. Its a great program, and Mercer did right by them.
