So hard to find job!!!!!

Post by Tony19910618 »

My name is Tony. I have graduated from BCIT as aircraft maintenance engineer M at Vancouver about 6 months. I am an international student, and I have gotten 3-years work permit. BCIT also is opening some AME program for international students I got a few chance of interview from Aviation Company; companies might not accept international student and inexperienced people. I could not find job even as groomers. Of course, I do not have any experience on aircraft industries. I am still finding job as AME. Are any companies hiring new guys right now?I need some suggestion. I met so much hope and disappoint. For sure, that is very hard to citizen due to downturn.

Unfortunately our government is helping Air Canada move our AME jobs overseas where labour is less expensive. My guess is that there are a lot of AME's out of work right now. As with the pilot profession, you may have to go north to start your career. I'm not sure how far north, but Vancouver might not be the best place to start. :(

Just a suggestion Tony, but you need someone to translate your writing to english a bit better. You are difficult to understand and this will hurt your chances of getting hired. Talk to HRDC (human resource development canada) and see if anybody offers job hunting courses or resume proof reading for overseas applicants such as yourself. Good luck.

MTU Maintenance is hiring in Vancouver for Gas Turbine and Component mechanics right now. Chances are pretty good you would be able to get an apprenticeship there with your M training from BCIT.
