I thought so ... but out of fairness, it didn't show
them sitting around the airport, bored out of their
minds, when there were no fires

Rubbish, Sanders; they're Spaniards, they spend their non-flying time chasing senoritas, fighting bulls, duelling with rapiers, making elaborate 14 - course meals, thinking up magnificent names for their children with lots of 'Dons' and 'Ys' in them, and they have a 2 hour siesta in the middle of the day. There's no time to get bored!

Re: European CL-415 Water Bombers
Some stellar footage! Must have taken a couple seasons to get all that though
Just curious for all the duck drivers.. Do they really require that aggresive of control inputs over the fires or was that just dramatized?

I was wondering that too. Wouldnt be surprised though. Im sure its pretty rough low down on a hot day in spain even when your not right over a fire.
Re: European CL-415 Water Bombers
In a couple of scenes they were just doing control checks after start. A couple of times it shows them in flight and yes there are times when it takes huge control movements especially when there is lots of turbulence or working in or near the head of a very active fire.

They aren't CL415's either they're 215t's.... No water bombing computer and only 2 drop doors.

Are the 215/415s in Candada three crew as well, or is that a European thing??

For training/rides we use the 3rd seat; otherwise, it's a 2 crew game..
