A plane preparing to take off from (KHVN) Tweed Airport Thursday afternoon hit a deer that had walked onto the runway.
The deer was killed during the incident, however no people were hurt during the crash, airport officials said.
Lear Jet 36 Air Ambulance was taking a patient back to Canada when the incident occurred, officials said. The patient was brought back to a Connecticut hospital while the plane was being assessed, airport officials said.
The plane never left the ground during the crash, airport officials said.
Tweed Airport is back open after the incident.

. The only reason they have 3 now is the owner of IWO keeps company hoping, first Morningstar Partners for 14 months then Sunwest Aviation for 13 months and now foxy flight. Fox told him the grass is greener on his side which if you look on flight aware appears to be more smoke and mirrors. One trip a month doesn't pay the bills, and the only reason IWO has been flying more recently is because EMT is down.
