If you are located far away from a large body of water,
the temperature will swing wildly. During the winter it
will be painfully cold, and during the summer it will be
painfully hot. This is true, almost regardless of latitude
in the central part of north america.
Hence why Edmonton has the same climate as Siberia.

At least Edmonton isn't the murder capital of Canada any more...it's now Winnipeg. And I think actually Winnipeg has a more similar climate to Siberia....for some reason their large bodies of water don't help much.

Finally, Winnipeg is number one in something.

Normally Cat and I are pretty much in sync. But in my little corner of the industry, someone who prefers being a fashion statement over being warm is pretty much unemployable. If I had a commercial student who couldn't figure it out, I'd be okay with leaving him to walk 15 minutes to the club, or taking a really really long time to do a walk around, then switching airplanes on them.
