Sunwing labour negotiations

Post by spm »

Does anybody have any updates on the ongoing labour negotiations at Sunwing. Have the pilot or FA unions set strike dates yet? If so when do they plan to strike?

They won't strike, although they should! Management will keep delaying the process and stringing them along until they have to agree to something, then it will be agreeing to disagree. SWG is buying time with the promise of talk and nothing else.

Funny how Skyservice has split into two factions. One being Sunwing, and the other being Sky Regional....and ironically both outfits are sufferring from the same shady & tyrannical management style that dogged Skyservice for the 15 years it was around! lol

Management can't delay once conciliation has begun...it becomes a time sensitive issue...the clock will be ticking...

I understand that the pilots, represented by CAW, have reached an agreement. Has it changed much dollar wise from this: http://www.pilotjobsnetwork.com/jobs/Sunwing_Airlines ???

Also, is there still a 2 year bond?

Hi loopy. That pay scale is long gone. New one FO's start at 52 and go to 88. Captains 110-158.

Cheers
