Sunwing JS with AC

Post by one8tee »

Hey Sunwing guys and gals. I'm a pilot with AC.. looking at going down to CUN out of YYZ for a few days.. I've heard awesome things about the JS agreement and was wondering if anyone could PM me with details on how to get an idea of loads. Also protocol (how to list, dress, what to bring) would be appreciated.

WG511 (Jan 21) and WS310 (jan 25)

Thanks in advance,

I don't think there is a way for you to check loads, like you would with AC. I guess it's different with charters.
Just go to the SWG check-in before your flight and tell them what you want. They'll do everything else.
As long as there are empty seats, you will get it. So far, no SWG guy has refused a JS to an AC guy.
Our commuters depend on AC JS a lot.
BTW, we have what's called "JS Handbook", where the whole process is explained. I'm sure you guys at AC have something similar.
P.S.
When you talk to check-in, make sure the flight is operated by SWG, not the wet lease. They are under their own OC.
Enjoy.

Unfortunately 180 that Cancun flight is operated by TVS, not Sunwing. We can see the loads but usually only a day before. If you can get to YXU there is a flight leaving out of there at 11:05 am.

CanJet has a 6:10 departure out of YYZ to CUN. Maybe try that?

Go to the check-in counter at least 60 minutes prior to departure and request the jumpseat. They will either contact the Captain then, or issue you a boarding pass subject to Captain's approval. Either way, you will end up with a boarding pass that will get you to the gate to be finalized. Just have all required documents with you and dress is business casual.

As for loads, we can check but it is a process. Someone always doesn't show up so you should be ok.. Hope this helps, I know many of us have been grateful for using AC in the past.

one8tee,

SWG 511 is still an option for you, even though its operated by TVS.

Air Transat also flies that route, several times a week.

Canjet worked awesome..thanks for the lift guys especially the crew on 774. I've never flown CJA before and was impressed by the level of professionalism and service!

If anyone has info on cun-yyz flights on the 25th (sunwing/ canjet/ AT) any load/ time info would be appreciated. I had a look on the AT website but I must be doing something wrong...

Cheers,
