Been following this from the beginning hoping for a positive outcome. What a terrible loss for the aviation community. My condolences to the family and friends of those who lost their lives.

Re: Plane missing in Antarctica
Just wrapped up a week long ground school today. Some guys in the course knew the crew quite well and shared some amazing stories of some amazing men.

Re: Plane missing in Antarctica
Bob, you were one in a million. Youre perspective on life has always inspired me, and I learned a ton every time I was around you and not just in regards to the twin .From the first time we met at Jetz in YYC, through my many tours in YEV and then the most entertaining check ride I'd been on when I switched to the otter.. It boggles the mind that we chatted just before you left and now you're gone. I wont hide these tears, for they fall for a true and great man. Only blue skies and tailwinds for you now my friend. Save a spot in the right seat for me with you up there ok?

Jesus.
One too many whiskies tonight, but what a tragic end.
First met Bob in 98/99. An absolute gentleman.
What a terrible loss.
Many heartfelt condolences to all the families involved.

Re: Plane missing in Antarctica
Mike - I was lucky enough to have flown with you a few times at CYBW. Bob, you were my mentor's mentor. You were both exceptional guys and we are all richer for having had the privilage to know you. To borrow, if I may:
Just Tragic.
Godspeed gentlemen!

Sad news. R.I.P. if anyone knows the third crew member could you PM me. I have a buddy down there as the wrench for the twin.

Re: Plane missing in Antarctica
I never flew with Bob, but I did get to know him while working for a competitor on various ramps in the Western Arctic, prior to getting on with Borek (and he helped me with that too).
He was true class. A great loss to the aviation community and mankind.
Godspeed Bob and crew.
