aspiring pilot who wants to work in China
I am just wondering if anyone can tell me if it is difficult to find entry level pilot jobs in China as a Canadian citizen. I will be attending Siast College to obtain my CPL this December. My wife is Chinese and we want to live in China. Or is there anywhere else in the world anyone knows of that is possible to get an entry level job? Any Ideas.

There are a number of cadet programs out here in Asia, you might stand a chance with.
Check PCC for which Chinese Airlines have cadet programs. Of the top of my head, Cathay, Dragon, China Airlines, Cebu.
Good luck

To be eligible for these cadet programs there are typically citizenship requirements. Cathay and Dragon Air are not chinese airlines, but Hong Kong airlines. There is a difference, as Hong Kong residency is required (Cathay has accepted non-HK ID holders recently though). China Airlines is actually not from China at all, but from Taiwan, and Taiwanese citizenship is required for their cadet program, that along with a 20 year contract.slowstream wrote:lalala wrote: There are a number of cadet programs out here in Asia, you might stand a chance with.

The chinese aviation market is actually difficult, if not impossible for a low timer to break into; short of being a chinese national and being recruited by one of the chinese airline cadet schemes.
