Re: IATRA or ATPL questions
Do you only need 750TT to write it, or is there other requirements on that as well?
Re: IATRA or ATPL questions
750 TT is the only requirement to write the exams. Sorry plus a valid medical.

Thanks! Btw, what's supervised PIC? I couldn't find a clear answer.jpilot77 wrote:750 TT is the only requirement to write the exams. Sorry plus a valid medical.
Re: IATRA or ATPL questions
Remember 750 TT is only for writing the exams, as far as actually getting your ATPL you need 1500 TT, and SIC is only counted at 50%. Supervised PIC is used so that a pilot who is missing PIC time can get the PIC time to get his ATPL. So they are then able to be in the left seat of a two-crew aircraft.

Re: IATRA or ATPL questions
It's that little loophole that makes the already low and easy to achieve time requirements of the ATPL even more laughably easy, thus turning the whole thing into a total farce. With the proper paperwork in place, an FO can change their SIC time to make believe PIC time! It's magic!High Flyin wrote:what's supervised PIC?
Re: IATRA or ATPL questions
Hey Shimmy, maybe I'm incorrect but I was told that in order to log PIC under supervision, one has to do a left-seat ride and be in the left seat to log those hours. I believe the AOC must also stipulate that the company's training program is qualified to conduct PIC under supervision flights. I don't think it's as simple as you put it....mind you, after a little digging, I can't seem to find any specifics regarding the above so now I'm second guessing myself. I dunno.shimmydampner wrote:It's that little loophole that makes the already low and easy to achieve time requirements of the ATPL even more laughably easy, thus turning the whole thing into a total farce.
