This is close to the airport (on Arthur St
across from Thunder Bay Mall) if that's
important to you ...

There is a Comfort Inn very close to the airport on Arthur St with really nice rooms. Stayed there a half dozen times. If you sign up for their "preferred customer" thing, which is just a phone # and address they take a chunk off, so it's very reasonable. (Def. less than 100) No pool or restaurant however, but several in walking distance.

Best hotel near the airport is the BestWestern Crossroads across from the Airlane.

I can attest to CS's recommend of the Vallhalla Inn (free to/from airport shuttle) it's an alright place to spend the evening if you can get a discounted price...

A little known secret though is a hotel on the North side of town near the Trans Canada called the "Nor Western Inn"." Great clean rooms and friendly/knowledgeable staff...

There's a great pub/restaurant across the road called the Neebing road house...
That establishment will forever be dear to me as I once had an interview there... One of the most memorable interviews I shall have the privilege to go though... B, D, and especially the late T-bone would recount it best!!!

All the best,
TPC

The Best Western Nor'Wester is actually south of town on Hwy 61 (headed towards the US border).

CS's recommend of the Vallhalla Inn
With a little bit of luck, when you arrive, there will be
an Italian wedding reception in progress, with an open
bar.

"I'm a friend of the Groom's" has worked for me in
the past.

If you're looking to pick up women at the wedding that you crash just mention you have a 4x4 and like to hunt...it's enough to sweep them off their feet. A different breed of women up there.
