How long did you guys had to wait between first and second interviews? They rushed me before christmas for my first interview. Did it on December 21st. After that, they called a few days later to schedule a french/english exam (I'm in the YUL region). Did the english exam on january 3rd. They sent an email a few days later to say I was successful on that exam. Since then, nothing... Is that delay normal?
Why do they rush me during christmas and then take that long to give news.
This process can definetly drive you nuts.

Re: How long between 1st and 2nd interview?
I waited just under a year between 1st and 2nd interview, and it was over 2 and a half years between when I first applied and when I started training. It seemed like just as I was about to give up on the process they called me for the next step.
A big part of how quickly the application process goes is simply luck - you were ready for the next step when they happened to be running it.
At the same time, keep in mind that a green light at any given stage does not guarantee progression to the next step. It simply puts you in a pool of candidates that they draw from.
Having said that, be patient and good luck.

Re: How long between 1st and 2nd interview?
My first interview came almost immediately after passing the assessment session.
The call for the second interview came about two months later.
I suspect it varies based on what FIR you're in, who's in the pool, and the anticipated need for courses to be filled.
