Well I have a theory on why I am having difficulties
On Feb. 12th the Zend Optimizer was updated. It appears that several phpBB around the 12th-today are experiencing the exact same problems. I have found 6 other sites that are experiencing the same posting/quoting errors we have on this new board. As well they all have problems with the memberlist displaying only on members info. The theory is that the Zend Optimizer is the culprit.
I have put in a request for info on this possible bug with the Zend Optimizer people as well as webair. The problems with the original and old forums is still being worked on. I am not sure why the original forum is not connecting to the database but I am hoping this is because webair is trouble shouting
If anyone wants to help they can do a search at
http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=1
If you can find out the name of the websites being affected when they started experiencing this problem .... this info will be useful in getting this site back up and running quicker.
Or even better find for me the cure!!!!! The support forum for phpBB is the best area to find answers. This is were I have spent a lot of the last 3 days researching possibilities for fixing the errors.
