Nav Canada's weather site has an ICAO identifier lookup function...

http://www.flightplanning.navcanada.ca/ ... peDoc=html

That should give you a start anyway. There may be a better site out there...

OK - Actually I am looking for something other than the Nav Canada wx site because it only list airports which report. I was hoping there might be something out there available as a link which would list basically whatever is in the CFS - probably does not exist outside the CFS printed but I figured I would try. Does anyone know of an online version of the CFS?

It actually has all airports, even those unreported. If you type in the look-up it will give any Canadian aerodrome.

guess you could always try something like this

http://worldaerodata.com/countries/Canada.php
http://www.the-airport-guide.com/search.php?by=icao

i don't know if they are safe to use..i've only ever used them as a student pilot looking for ICAO identifiers.

You can find the name/city of the aerodrome on the NavCanada site by clicking metar/taf and putting the identifier in. When it comes up even if there is no weather for the aerodrome it will still list the name.

http://www.fltplan.com also works for this purpose. You don't even need to signup, on their home page, right underneath the signon, there is a quick airport info bar where you can type in a 4 letter icao airport identifier. It also gives some details about the airport.

Give it a try, see what you think. :smt026

I like this page-- it has international coverage. Also will give METAR and TAF for most airports in the world, and plot great circles.
