Lots of Time Wasted...

Post by xsbank »

...Trashing Voyageur and training bonds and doing resumes and bashing the "hold my coffee and watch this" crowd; the dope smokers and the weinies who want thousands of hours to fly simple airplanes. This is my 5000th post and I should be ashamed of myself. However, I am going to atone for my sins by retiring next week and giving up all this aviation glory. I might even take a break from this site so all you Voyageur-Apologists can relax and push back from the keyboard for a while, assuming I will be as busy as I anticipate. Anybody wanting a part-time Challenger 605 driver, or maybe a part-time float driver (just kidding) give me a call.

If you get the job, can I send a resume to whatever YOU are doing? I'll sign a bond if necessary.

Thanks for the good wishes, guys!

Boy Siddley, you are sure unsure of the concept; all the people I know who are retired are busier than when they worked! Stay busy and stay alive!

A retired friend of mine was asked by his wife one day, "so what are you planning to do today" he looked at her and said "sweet f**k all and I'm thinking about finishing it tomorrow."

Enjoy the retirement!

Thanks CL - I still have big plans, I'm going to be busy!
First priority is to find another boat and, no offense, no wings on it (6 cylinder diesel clam-crusher) and about 8 knots max!

And if you're thinking of part time work (no wings involved) then there's always.......

I always thought I would make a good Walmart greeter. You could just call me Captain Dick.
Actually, I really wanted to move next to Pauline Marois, upwind, and set up a smoker to start smoking those scumsuckers that the crazy fishermen winch out of the St. Lawrence, sometimes through holes in the ice, the really gruesome catfish-things that live in that water that comes through Ottawa and out of the Great Lakes ("what's that smell?"). The water that we all drink here, that we wash in and make tea with (sometimes at the same time) and you need a reverse-osmosis device to stop it from tasting like poo... maybe Norman Wells does have a few advantages...
Anyway, North vancouver has a Walmart so I'm going to give 'em a call and tell 'em Mr. Willie sent me.
