L39 at idle burns 70 gallons per hour, according
to the totalizer. 330 gallons per hour at 106%
N1 when you push the lever on the left all the
way forward.
No, but it's full of parts from Spruce. I put
a big order in recently, because I heard that
TC is going to raid it and shut that horrible
source of "bogus parts" down.
No, thanks anyways, when we have any problems
with them, we call a local small engine repair guy
called "Boris" who has these weird metric wrenches,
a large hammer and a scuba tank in a small trailer
behind his rusty pickup truck.
I haven't a clue what all that technical stuff is for,
but he keeps them airworthy. His appearance is
a bit off-putting - wife-beater shirt (even in the winter),
bald and lots of arm and back hair - but he really
knows his stuff.

I knew this Croatian guy like that that did wonders with my VW jetta back in a day.

Such elegant airplanes. Black is such a great colour for that airplane.
