For reference the Colonel is talking about CAR 405.33(2)Colonel Sanders wrote:Then it's your birthday. Call Enforcement. Theywhat if you ask for your PTR and they refuse to give it to you?
will slice and dice the FTU for contravening CARs.
FTU's CANNOT hold onto your PTR. And, you
should NEVER leave your personal logbook at
the FTU. No reason to. Get them both signed
and up to date frequently.
Now, lots of students let their instructors get away with (b) without saying anything, so I encourage you people to start phoning transport. Chase those f@ckers down in their first right seat. Ideally it would be funny for them to have to explain to their new boss why they have a CARS violation on their record. To this end, always sound very interested in where your instructor has applied to in case they go missing. You may have to do a bit of sleuthing, but its not that hard to phone up and talk to the HR lady and ask about their new employees. Keep a note of that number when you go to file your case with transport.405.33 (1) A person who conducts flight training for the issuance of a private pilot licence, a commercial pilot licence or a flight instructor rating - aeroplane or helicopter shall, for each trainee, maintain a pilot training record that meets the personnel licensing standards.
(2) On request from a trainee receiving training for the purposes referred to in subsection (1), the person responsible for maintaining the trainee's pilot training record shall
(a) certify the accuracy of the entries; and
(b) provide the trainee with the record.
Like I said before, violations of CAR 405.33 is the quickest thing TC moves on, when they catch wind, not sure why, maybe because the case is usually open and closed, so it gives them a sense of accomplishment.
Come on, you got to give them something, if they can't strut around like Maverick and Goose, who can they strut around as?You guys are far to afraid of a pansy-@ssed
flight instructor and his CFI, strutting around
the ramp like Tom Cruise and Goose
