Does anyone have an idea about what bases/equipment will be up for grabs for ground school starting Mon?

From what I've heard, a mix of Dash 8 and Q400 mostly YYC and YYZ, maybe YUL Dash 8. Don't hold your breath for YVR or YHZ.

Ah that's good, Im hoping to not have to move away from YYC haha.

YYC, is almost a certainty, in 6 years the one constant is shortage in YYC. If for some reason you don't get it in orientation week, you will likely have it before your done line indoc.

Any more ground schools planned after the May 6th class?

I don't think so.. A friend got a call 2 weeks ago saying they'll call him back when they have a date for him, so as far as I know there's nothing.

But maybe he's a little further down the list and there's another class in June? I could be wrong either way.

My guess will be 7 DH8 YYC, 2 YUL, 1 YYZ 2 Q400 YYC if there are 12 in the GS

No chance Q400 YYZ (looks like atleast 6 ppl from YYC trying to get to YYZ). NO IM NOT MANAGEMENT JUST A GUESS

Must be a lull, but it won't last long as WJ/Encore are still hiring probably poaching most from Jazz.

The ad on flyjazz is still there though.

Would like to know, how long did it take from when one first applied until you received the first call ? And what exactly is the hiring process at Jazz (ie.) phone interview, medical, sim eval

I can't comment on how long it takes to get the call from the application process since I'm sure this probably varies.

You're almost correct with the whole process, but the sim eval happens before the medical. The medical isn't really a medical. It's simply a drug screen.
