My guess is millions of dollars and years of delays all to show that something is being done, but not really.

Hey, the Sea King is 50! The presidential choppers are probably better than buying them from a heli-logging outfit. Just think of all that junk spinning around in loose formation for 50 years. Pretty bad from a 3rd world nation, let alone Canada.

Do any of the Cormorants work yet?

I think the VH-71 was the aircraft that was supposed to replace the presidential Sea Kings. When the program was cancelled Canada bought the left overs to use as spares for the Cormorants which are basically the same aircraft.

I'm sure IMP would love to rebuild some VH-71's for the CF. A made in Canada solution could be worth millions for IMP!
