Right off the bat, I work for Canadian Flyers, so that's my mandatory disclosure. Of course I'd say that our school is the best because your rating will cost you less. Also, your chances of getting hired after the rating are pretty good (most of our instructors are close to moving). In terms of building up a student base, it really doesn't matter where you work, it will require a strong effort.
Brampton and Toronto Airways are bigger schools, and good places to do your rating. However it will take you a long time to get on the twin (both places require you to be a class 2 to get on the twin). Island Air would be my last choice. The fellow that does most of their instructor ratings is great, but working there really sucks.

Piloterror I am one of mcrit's students. If you want to learn how to fly an airplane and have fun doing it go to canadian flyers. I am an instructor student of his and I am learning a lot more from him then any other instructor who is only flying with you for the hours he really want's to see his students go on to do great things. Trust me canadian flyers is the best. And make sure you get mcrit you will never look back.
