Checkin times

Post by skyhigh »

Just out of curiosity, do you westjet folks have a lot of insane early morning checkin times?

Same # of early check in's as PM check in's. The ugliest are out east. When you're based in the west... a 7 am in YYT really sucks.

As several of our ex-pilots pointed out.
I believe it was best prased as
"Before I started with WestJet, I never knew there was two 4 O'clocks in every day."

Just Curious,

They must have been from the twotter side of things because as you know, they fly the 9-5 Monday to Friday scheds and the occasional weekend charter unlike your King Air brethren who gloriously take to the skies 24-7 365. Know what I'm sayin'?

Well, it's like the WJ people team says: Hire for good looks and ability, and, well, that was good enough for most otter drivers

To answer skyhigh, yes and no. You can bid either late checkins or early checkins or no preference if you so choose. You can bid redeyes if you really want to sleep in.

Just Curious,

Too funny. I think that your last post may have been an unintentional compliment...

And speaking of goodlooking, there's the northern twotter pilot: steel-toed Cat boots with the cover of the toe worn away, black flight suit with the knees also worn away revealing jeans, black fleece with two sweaters underneath, leather fur-lined hat with the ear flaps, skiddo mitts and ray-bans. Hey ladies......

And ability? Finding Aklavik at 300ft at night (again)- awesome!! :D
