Heard from one of my engineer they shot down fire suppression ops in New-Brunswick ? Please tell me it is not true.

Maybe your engineer was slightly confused by the news that the NB government shut down its flight department on May 4, 2013 after 42+ years of continuous operation. All staff laid off. That closure had nothing to do with fire suppression flt ops however.

FPL still operates the tankers. A fleet of 802's and bird dog aircraft.

Are all the TBM's gone now ? , or do they still have a few left ?

Last one left last year. The last couple have gone to museums. The last time one was used in an operational role was about 4 years ago I think and that was more just in a back-up role if I recall. One was supposed to go to France on a French aircraft carrier. It had been brought up to a flyable condition and was supposed to go to Norfolk VA and put on board there but something foiled those plans.
