Place to try on helmets
Anyone know of a place on the west coast you can try on different heli helmets? Thanks!
Re: Place to try on helmets
Maxcraft sells alpha helmets. You could give them call. Other than that, your out of luck. Unfortunately its a big investments, where you cant really try before you buy.
Re: Place to try on helmets
Maybe ask around locally and see if you can try helmets that other pilots already own? You'll be trying broken in helmets, too, which might be useful to know how they fit once they're worn for a while, maybe?
Make note of any that have received ANR upgrades while you're at it... They sometimes change the earcups for that, and that would have an effect on fit.
[edit] Just noticed that you did say "West Coast". If you're near Langley sometime you can try on my Alpha. I've done the ANR upgrade to it, but it uses the stock earcups so should still be representative.

MAxcraft Avionics in Pitt Meadows deals in Alpha helmets and are very good to deal with, I use them all the time for new visors or refurb kits.
