Well cows are natural prey for lions, aren't they?

Was a cowl damaged?

I'm not even going to consider the airline food implications of this.....

Yes, yes; it certainly behooves them to pay better attention.
Perhaps they were trying to take cow-tipping to a whole new level?

Talk about being on the horns of a dilemma! (Well, in this case, a cow...")

PS I wonder if the pilot was awarded one or two ears...

Before I scrolled down to see the comments, I had read the thread headline to my warped and twisted son; his comments.."that must have been a moooooooving experience!"

And he isn't even a pilot!

So, I herd the flight crew is fielding beefs from all sides. Management is grilling the co-pilot, asking him how the cows got pasteurize and implying they don’t understand the steaks in the matter. Other flight crews are ribbing them, saying they cud’ve done better. The pilot was quoted as saying that: “It’s all bull. ATC may have given us a bum steer. Meanwhile, we’re not going to stew over it and we’re not about to cow under the pressure. If misteaks were made, it will all be revealed in the investigation as to how this landing was butchered so badly.”

The link to CNN now has an edited and shorter version of the story. In the original it had this statement -
The pilot, Iwan Permadi, told state-run Antara news agency he could smell "burning meat" as the jet ran over the animal.

He said he thought there were dogs in front of the plane as it came into land, "but it turned out there were three cows wandering in the middle of the runway".
After reading that I thought to myself "Hmmmm, they either have really big dogs over there or really small cows!?!?"

Well they've probably branded the crew.

Time to find a new source of future fuel at that airport.
