Post by bizjets101 »

Unclear at this time which Dash 8 was involved, but aircraft was N registered and flying out of Panama - aircraft was en route back to base, when it crashed in a mountainous area on the Colombia/Panama boarder around 02:00 Oct 5 - on board was a crew of 6 - 1 Panamanian and 5 American's - mixed reports but at least 1 survivor was airlifted from crash site.

That was funny :)

Aircraft was reported as N35PIT - assumed to be a misprint - the US Military operate among their Dash 8's N353PH, N354PH, N356PH - due to the US Govt shutdown the NTSB/FAA sites are not being updated to confirm the reg..

If you play byng, yahoo or giggle. These are always "good" tail #s N987SA, N93CW, N900SA.....should keep one in a few suspense novels....enjoy. The FAA is always open as is the SEC...otherwise both of what they regulate would be shut down. FAA has been avail for "backdating"
