How many new guys off the street do you think they'll be hiring, I mean with the ex-Shell drivers surely getting first chance. Me thinks the job ads are mostly to satisfy hiring standards and they won't likely need that many new bodies.

Did Flair come out of enhanced monitoring by TC, heard it was touch and go whether they pulled their OC or not.
Hard to believe that Shell would get in to bed with them.
Sure it will be a fiasco.

I believe it's the law to advertise for any positions. They could very well hire all the Shell pilots for these spots but they still have to advertise!

From my understanding the current Shell pilot's have absolutely no idea if they are getting on.

Last I heard was interviews and sim eval's for shell pilot's with no guarantee of jobs in sight - even if then, not at the same salary.

Kind of makes you wonder what happened to the contract pilots that quit their jobs to go and "fly for shell" and be given the idea that after a year they will most likely be hired onto shell (performance based) only to find out 3 months later they are out of a job?

Now how long do you guys think Flair will maintain Shell's operation?

The future is here...soon PAL will be operating for the RCAF, RCMP, and maybe they will get into boats and run the navy....

According to Pilot Career Center, "Flair air has signed 10 year contract to operate these two aircraft on behalf of Shell Canada."

Doesn't sound like a short term move, this was planned out over a decade.
