Perimeter hiring?

Since the last post on Perimeter and hiring is now several months old:

Does anyone know when the next groundschool is planned for, and how many guys they are thinking of moving into F/O spots?

Also, how many from within the company and how many external?

Any other news?

Next groundschool should be for sometime in July.

The hiring has been steady with 8 hired in May and June alone. This schedule shows at least 2 new FO spots.

There are a lot of guys on the ramp currently, most hiring will probably be internal, but who knows for sure.

What is the typical wait time these days?

Stu is right, groundschool in the next few weeks.
For the time being it seems that f/o hiring will remain internal--there are lots of guys ready who have worked hard for a year or more on the ramp who should get a chance in the next few months.
They hired some ex-Skyward guys but I heard a few walked after getting their PPC, so maybe they have learned thier lesson and will keep all hiring internal. I heard a couple guys from outside the company got on the Metro 3, but once a training program and a few more Metro 3's show up I bet all the hiring for those planes will be from inside.

Only one person from Skyward walked, and it was before he got his PPC.

Metro 3 was crewed outside temporarily while our crews get trained on it. There are more Metro 3s coming, and all crewing will be internal.

BE99 is on it's way as well for the YTH base.

Most guys are spending 1 year on the ramp. Guys have been hired with less than that though. List is over 20 long.[/img]

I like perimeter and the thought of moving out there, just couldn't afford to work the ramp for a year....too many loans due to flight trainning and getting too many grey hairs to afford waiting around for another year...if I was a few years younger I would definitely consider it. Seems like a great place to be.
