Any one flown Corp into MMCU??

Post by Nordo »

Has anyone flown into MMCU - Chihuahua/Gen R Fierro Villalobos Airport?? I can't find a lot out about this airport and my client wants to look at going there in the future. Trying to find an FBO and handler for customs, but all I found was a phone number that lead to a guy who spoke no english. Any Info would help, provided its written in English (my spanish is as good as my German!!).

Thanks.

You try checking Ac-U-Kwik?

Here's an e-mail for the Airport from the Grupo Aeroportuario Centro Norte - chihuahua@oma.aero

http://acukwik.com/AirportInfo/MMCU

Hope this helps! The Control Tower number is listed as well... chances are there's someone up there that knows some English.

We use Pegasus Flight Support for all operations in Mexico. They will most likely have an agent available for that airport, but if not they can make a recommendation. They are not cheap, but they make sure all the permitting, customs, and flight plans are done correctly.

I have used Pegasus in MMCS, MMQT, MMZC, MMVR, MMSD, MMUN, and MMPR. Always great service.

I have been in MMCU twice this fall. All good, very similar to MMUN,MMSD,MMPR. We used Colt for handling, overflight, and fuel. Pegasus has a nice FBO, they are very easy to work with.

Thanks guys. It can be a challenge sometimes to get info into some of these places!! I usually use a handler for the first flight into a place I have no experience with then do it on my own once I have some contacts. But some places it seem very hard to get hold of the right people.

Anyway, its been solved through handlers.

Mexico Mandates eAPIS for Private Aircraft Operators

Click Here. Under new rules that took effect this week, private aircraft operators flying into or out of Mexico must electronically submit flight, passenger and crew information to Mexico’s National Institute of Immigration agency at least one hour before arrival or upon departure.
