Web or kiosk check-in not working on standby

Post by 777LR »

Hi guys,
First of all, thank you for the reciprocal jumpseat!

Every time I try to check-in online or at the kiosk I get this message: ''We’re sorry we could not finish your transaction at this time. Please see a WestJet agent at Guest assistance on arrival at the airport to complete check-in.''

Is this normal?

Thanks!

All of the times I've jump seated with westjet, I've received this message. I'm pretty sure it's to verify company ID with an actual agent.

Not too big of a deal; thanks for the jumpseat!

Most of the time I have no bags to check-in. If I was able to check-in online/kiosk I wouldn't have to bother the agents and the WestJet guests. I think it would be easier to just show your RAIC as you board...
Everyone wins. Thoughts?

it is not just jumpseating you cannot checkin online or on the kiosk on any kind of pass unless you are an actual
WestJet employee....seems kinda dumb as it would alleviate a lot of problems and less lines and work for the agents.

I believe it is a coding issue when you book by phone. I had this happen a couple times (I'm an employee) and I asked a CSA about it. It the person puts the wrong code on the reservation it makes you talk to a person at the desk.
