Worst representation of aviation currently on television or the worst ever?

There is so much complete and total bullshit in this piece of crap I don't even know where to begin so I won't. After the stinkeroo of the first season, just two episodes in, they've managed to set the bar even lower. Yes, lower than Airplane Repo and that's a feat in itself.

So that I can honestly answer any who might ask: "What is the absolute worst show about flying have you ever seen?", I will force myself to continue watching just to see how much lower they can and undoubtably will go.

I loved airplane repo. watched 12 episodes in 2 days
Only been flying for 33 year so it was excellent entertainment.

In the behind the scenes episode I was curious how the one guy's daughter was supposed to be a part of the show. She only has 100 hours so no CPL (at most maybe the written) so she is a glorified map holder in the pax seat.

Flying a single doesn't require 2 pilots and I'd rather leave the family drama at home.

I would have to say the worst show about flying I ever saw was Disney's "tale spin". The one where the bear was in jail and made an aeroplane out of sheets of ice and an electric fan was the worst. Also the characters all being plagiarized from a Kipling book was a bit disrespectful (I know Disney has the "rights" to these characters but still.)

On the plus side, the bear's plane was pretty cool, sort of a cross between a CL-215 and a DHC-4...

Gotta be more specific with the airplane repo hate. The first three episodes with popovich were pretty awesome. That man truly has a dream job and it didnt seem tooo staged. The bullshit of the rest of the series with that idiot and his wrestler companion was some of the worst aviation related television ive ever seen! That being said, Id love to see more of popovich

I keep giving both shows 2nd and 3rd chances and then tell myself I won't watch again. I guess its like watching a train wreck. Both shows have been removed from my PVR so that's one step in my recovery to watching bad tv.

I have to agree that both shows are what they are represented as and that is cheap reality shows. But I have to admit that the camera work is usually well done.
I also agree that the episodes with Popovich are much better. That guy has his shit together and employs a team of professionals.
What I would like to see is Kevin Lacy going to Saudi or some other less democratic country to repossess a jet. That should either write finis to the series or take it to a much lower level.
The only thing positive is the use of the video cameras hung all over the airplanes. In another thread on ice protection, posters made mentioned of the use of cameras to observe the tail boots (and possibly landing gear) and this program shows how effective some of them can be. Now, just make the cameras smaller.

Comparing Arctic Air to Dangerous Flights is like comparing Young and the Restless to Cops. The average tv watcher is supposed to believe that Dangerous Flights is real and these guys are god damned heroes for ferrying a clapped out 172 across America. This show sucks.

I have watched all of these shows. The pilots portrayed in the reality series remind me of those clowns who do not make it out of entry level companies. The real pros are the quiet pilots that do their jobs, and you never really hear about them, because they make few mistakes because of their discipline and attention to detail. But that would be bad for television.

Yeah...I like the one where the "captain" let's the "FO" on a bonanza I think -- and the guy is his boss-- do one landing on the whole trip -- then yanks the throttle out of the guys hand in the flare. Nice.
