You'll see the odd advertisement from Chartright, Skyservice, Image Air, the usual suspects, but the best corporate jobs are not going to have job postings and often (there are exceptions) won't be talked about on this website. Try poking around YYZ and checking out tail numbers to see who owns what. Legwork and shaking hands are your assets.

Was Image Air not absorbed into Execaire's operation? Thought I read something a year or so back.

Some of those guys are 'fractionals'. Not to be confused with true corporate jobs. You fly more, make less and work harder. Kinda like a regionals vs mainline.

True corporate jobs are hard to find and even harder to attain. A true corporate stand alone flight department is a pretty rare thing nowadays, but there are a few still operating. Usually they offer the best pay and the best quality of life. However, there are some downsides to this kind of operation, including being the first department to get axed or downsized if the parent company is going through some financial turbulence or restructuring. Look at Blackberry dumping planes or Wal-Mart going from 2 Lear 35's to 1 Lear 45 to streamline costs.

Management companies are another (and more prevalent) type of corporate aircraft flying. Here, the aircraft owner pays a management company to look after the day to day operation of the aircraft. This way the owner doesn't have to worry about the costs and headaches of having a stand alone flight department and gets the benefits of sharing the costs between multiple aircraft owners. As well, there is the option to have to aircraft made available to be chartered out to help offset the cost of ownership. Since there is now a middle man in the equation, pay is typically lower than the true corporate job and the quality of life can suffer.
