It's sad when a crash in Nepal doesn't raise eyebrows. Something has to change there.

I don't think it's a matter of it not raising eyebrows, but rather a case of saturation. There are about 300 fatal aircraft accidents each year in the USA alone, plus about 30 in Canada. Around 2000 total accidents per year between the two countries; I don't know how many world wide. Tough to have a meaningful discussion about all of them, so instead, the discussions develop around the ones we have some kind of connection to, even if just by geographical proximity.
