The ATPL Saron Exam

Post by checkremarks »

Hello,

So far I have both the Aerocourse and the Sharper's Edge ATPL books. Has anyone recently written the SARON? Out of the 80 questions, what was the composition of Air Law/ Aeroplane Operations/ General Navigation?

Reading through the previous forums, people highly recommend the Aerocourse how ever, the Aerocourse sections are scattered, was there any Performance/Weight and Balance and human factors on the SARON?

Thanks for your feedback.

Wrote mine in November. It was split up approximately: 38 Regulation, 35 Aircraft Systems and Flight Operations – General Navigation , and the rest were Human Factors and Performance Questions.

Aerocourse SARON Sections: Canadian Aviation Regulation, Performance and Weight and Balance, Flight Ops General and Human Factors. I would also go through Radio Aids and Planning (there were some Radio Questions).

Check the other threads on AvCanada, you'll find it useful.

Good luck.

I wrote the ATPL Saron exam today, passed. If anyone is thinking of writing it in the future, feel free to send me a PM and il be happy to answer your questions.

I used the sharper's edge 2012 ATPL exam prep book + the aero course. I think together they will get you through this exam.
