Part VII Approach Ban

Post by ahramin »

Am I on glue, did the rules change in the last 5 years, or is CLL still required to be able to use the ops spec to do a CAT I ILS when the RVR is less than 1600?

There is an exemption if you are operating under 704/705 and have a HUD, but other than that, yes you do need Centre Line Lighting.

You only require the centre line lighting if the runway is equipped with such under all parts.

? You are saying that centerline lighting is required when a runway is equipped with centerline lighting? Not sure I get that one. Reference?

As for "under all parts" the part VII approach ban doesn't apply to aircraft flown under part VI.
