Please don't abuse (and misrepresent)What's the problem with using it as a 'do' list?
a "do list" as a real checklist.
A checklist is a brief list of critical items
to check.
What you guys are writing, is a "How to Fly"
book. I might humbly opine that if one
needs a "How to Fly" book in the airplane
to correctly operate it, that one needs more
ground and remedial flight training before
they are ready to fly solo. You don't have
sufficient grasp of the fundamentals of your
aircraft systems.
When you contaminate a real checklist with
other "how to fly" items, you intentionally
obscure what is important, and thusly try
to create an accident.
I checked out a couple guys in their new
homebuilt recently. They showed up with
a checklist (a "how to fly" book) as thick as
a Stephen King paperback (and about as weird).
I gently took it from them and placed it in
the back, and told them we were going to
use a cockpit flow and LOOK OUTSIDE instead
of trying to read a "How to fly" book in the
airplane.
My apologies to anyone if this offends their
"Must Read A Book In the Airplane" religion
which has many acolytes.
