Tip: do as much as you can offline (the good 'ole way) when dealing with TC.

You need a GC Key, which you need to request and they will send it about a month later. Once you get that it's super easy to view your entire file history with TC, check ride dates, exam dates etc. There is also a way to have a common login with other websites but I haven't done that so can't speak to its ease or difficulty.
