What is an ex-military type jet rating? Is that the same as a current military type rating?
Re: Turkish Air Force F-16 landing at RAF Waddington
Being a military jet pilot and being a fighter pilot at 2 different things. You, Rockie and I are/were military jet pilot, but only he and myself are fighter pilots.
I know who Col Boyd and he and his theories were very relevant for his time. The world changes and we need to adapt.

Sure AuxBatOn, but according to Col Blunders flying combat fighters in the air force wasn't as tough as flying a Pitts, his Daddy told him so.but only he and myself are fighter pilots.

You're boring Hedley. Auxbaton and I don't always agree on some things, but he's the genuine article and commands infinitely more respect from me than a wannabe clown like you.

No? Oh well.
I did like that cute L39 though. Real combat pilots use those to train right?
Re: Turkish Air Force F-16 landing at RAF Waddington
I'm content that it doesn't Hedley.
Re: Turkish Air Force F-16 landing at RAF Waddington
Ex-military jet ratings are a way for extremely rich people to pretend they're fighter pilots, albeit in a training wheels L39. Hedley is a master at channeling that fantasy. What is an ex-military type jet rating? Is that the same as a current military type rating?
It's not as easy as it sounds.

Alright, boys....enough. Back to your rooms and don't come out until dinner.
Say, what's that mountain goat doing up here in the mist?
