Hanger/Home in Calgary area

Post by Nanart »

Hello all, Does anyone know of airports in the Calgary area that allows you to live in your hanger.. I would like to build a hanger or renovate a hanger putting a small apartment/loft in it so I can fly whenever I want. Airdrie would be perfect as I work out of YYC airport.. Any thoughts?

If you can afford it, you could look at buying a house and attached hangar at Okotoks airpark.

There used to be a couple of homes at south end of Indus Airpark.

For all the aviation employed residents of Airdrie, there doesnt seem to be many enthusiasts. Airdrie airport is a ghost town most days even though theyve been talking about making a live in airpark for at least ten years.

There's probably an opportunity to sell partnerships in man caves like this that guys can go to for weekends. A nice flat above a hangar, well stocked bar, big stereo, strippers dance pole, etc.
