Re: Turtle Airways
from what i know of them its not a bad outfit....if your looking to have a little fun, fly a few hours you’ll enjoy it. Don’t expect to make any money though. Fiji is a great place and is cheap to live but wages reflect that. When you come back you won’t be much farther financially.
Flying is great there...beautiful scenery and they have some big water so watch yourself. If you decide to go have a fun time and fly safe! Will be something you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Not many people get the opportunity! Go for it!

Re: Turtle Airways
I flew for both float operators there back in the day, and I suspect that with the change in ownership that Pacific Island is the superior employer right now. The owner of Turtle was a sociopath back in the day, who had no interest in paying to maintain safe airplanes. He may have mellowed since then. Often my thoughts would focus on the propeller, while I mentally chanted "Just keep turning", while admiring the 15 foot shark, 500 feet below in a country with no SAR ability to speak of. Have enough cash to bail back to Canada, just in case.
I got out of aviation so I could afford a yacht big enough to pull up beside Doc's!
Re: Turtle Airways
I'm skeptical of any operator who has a rotating 9 mon job posting on AvCanada.
What little I do know is either not important or I've forgotten it!
