West Jet pilot uniforms
I have noticed that a few of the pilots are wearing a blazer instead of the leather jackets. Are the pilots upgrading their image? Can hats be far behind?

New blazers and jackets... Pretty strong opposition to hats I think.

Heard a story from here about how all Georgian pilots hated their hats, till the upgrading of uniforms where they were given the option of whether or not to get them. Every pilot took the hat

I didn't think hats were part of the Georgian uniform

Word on the street is that it'll be your choice to wear the Blazer or Leather.
No hats.
No hats.

Leather is discontinued. You can wear it until it is worn out, but no new orders. No hats. No one wants them.
Re: West Jet pilot uniforms
Nice to sharpen the image. I always thought the leather jacket with a white shirt and tie was far too reminicent of my 1987 Prom Night attire. Now while grooming, instead of being mistaken for a ground handler, they'll be mistaken for a purser. Joking!!!
The 1996-2014 WJ leather would have looked way better with one of those super cool Southwest Airlines style (1940's Airforce Officer type) caps they wore in the 1990's and earlier.
Nice thing about a hat is you'll never be mistaken for anything other than a pilot while near aircraft......unless it's red.
DP.

The new ALPA pins would be too hard too push through the leather jackets!

Quite good with a proper zip in insulator.
I live somewhere quite cold and our compay gave us the option between fabric or leather, leather won.
Personally I've always found folks who don't like leather jackets are often the same ones who are offended by beards, mostly the metro sexual type. Besides a properly cared for leather jacket will last forever and protects you from wind really well.

Personally you should abandon the leather all together....this is a much better alternative :
