Re: Survival Gear
You guys are forgetting the first item in a survival kit: a deck of cards.
Unplanned landing.
Get cards out.
Deal a solitaire game.
Within 5 minutes someone will come by and look over your shoulder and tell you what move to make next!

Say, what's that mountain goat doing up here in the mist?

My survival training was through Outward Bound and included a 3 day bush solo with only a sleeping bag, clothes, and fire making tools. The lessons from that time still permeate all my camping/fishing trips and planning for any trip.

If I recall correctly we also had 10 tea bags

Women and planes have alot in common
Both are expensive, loud, and noisy.
However, when handled properly both respond well and provide great pleasure

Re: Survival Gear
Do you toss in a generic grab bag? Or pack for the trip specificly? We're going from YYZ to YWG here. What do we really need?

Re: Survival Gear
Matches. Bug spray for fire starting. Axe.
Couple of ' dusters' ,2 bottles of snake bite antidote, carton of cigarettes, and a .22 with a couple boxes of ammo to spend time shooting at the whiskeyjacks...and if you dont know what a whiskey jack is you have no business making the flight to start with.
You can eat the kobassa mommie was sending to Grandma, and warm the perogies over the fire on a branch.
the best survival equipment is to carry an engine on each wing, deice, radar, and then build a big warm fire in the fireplace at home and message grandma that you are to smart to do this in a 150 at night

Re: Survival Gear
All the above mentioned are required. I would only add some erotic literature in print form for the lonely nights around your fire.
