Jazz GS with under 1500 hrs TT
Is there anybody in the upcoming Jazz ground schools that has fewer than 1500 hrs TT?

Yup! Got a call with 1400 (lots of IFR and a decent amount of SPIFR time) but had to turn it down... After 4 years in Aviation I have gotten used to the name brand Kraft Dinner I can't go back to the No Name again thanks.

At 1400 hours, you don't have lots of anything except maybe enthusiasm.flythatwing wrote:Yup! Got a call with 1400 (lots of IFR and a decent amount of SPIFR time)

If similar to the CQFA grant, it must be around 250 hours.Johnny#5 wrote:How many hours do Seneca grads have?
Otherwise, I guess the 1500 hours is still accurate.

Haha well while I appreciate your enthusiasm I clearly meant lots of ifr within the 1400 total time not in general .BE20 Driver wrote:At 1400 hours, you don't have lots of anything except maybe enthusiasm.flythatwing wrote:Yup! Got a call with 1400 (lots of IFR and a decent amount of SPIFR time)

What does the average Hornet driver have 'not lots of'?
Geez did I say that....? Or just think it....?
Re: Jazz GS with under 1500 hrs TT
I was thinking more of the C-17 guys with 1500 hrs, 750 of which are as AC on a heavy aircraft with lots of hours in combat zones... Most of them are IPs and Instrument Check Pilots.
These guys have lot more than just enthusiasm... And lot more to offer than a 3000 hours King Air driver, imo.

It was meant tongue-in-cheek. I didn't have a lot of things when I had 1400 hours either. My enthusiasm was greatly tempered by the company I was working for at the time as well.AuxBatOn wrote:Quick to judge!
Good luck in what ever you choose as an alternate to Jazz.

Anybody in a GS with next to no multi time? What about little IFR time?

So it's come to this, people bragging about how little experience they had when Jazz called. I'd hope that the "leading" regional airline in Canada would require at least the airline license.

I was asking because I'm from the bush and my time is mostly single engine day VFR time and am wondering if Jazz would consider this. I do have a multi IFR but it never gets used. I am also short on night time for the ATPL but have everything else, including the exams written.
So how 'bout it? Anybody in a Jazz GS with the same kind of experience?

No offence meant, but if you don't have some multi experience you will be hard pressed to make through the sim eval.

How much experience do you need to sit in the right seat of the DHC-8?goingnowherefast wrote:So it's come to this, people bragging about how little experience they had when Jazz called. I'd hope that the "leading" regional airline in Canada would require at least the airline license.
