Ok, what were those rumours about the pay ? Fort Mac is not a cheap place to live that's for sure.Cessna driver wrote:They've been around for a few years, seen about half of the fleet, well kept and taken care of, couldnt tell you about working conditions, heard rumors about the pay but thats all i got
Also, looking at those mins they posted I am guessing someone should research the contrail requirments before going in? Wouldn't wanna be sitting right seat forever ya know.

Re: Gsky??
Good place to start if you want to get your foot in the door and make some connections to get a site job in the oil sands.
Re: Gsky??
Can we please drop the, "500" just be done with it already, its played out.
Rumours about Pay?? good rumours or bad rumours?
Doesn't sound all the promising, care to explain as to why? I may not be in a position to go up there for this particular job immediately but moving up with a significant other in the future Id like to know about some of the companies up there before we decide to move or not. How about Syncrude or McMurray Aviation, is there any competition between companies poaching other pilots? As far as I know those are all who are up there.Eugene_goostman wrote:Good place to start if you want to get your foot in the door and make some connections to get a site job in the oil sands.

Sorry sire, no problem, didn't realize we had the fun police in our presence this evening. Carry on.

Re: Gsky??
Still anybody want to share something with Gky, operating in Fort McMurry? I call and email and hear nothing from them. Its inevitable, I am moving up to CYMM whether my wife wants me to join her or not. The Facebook Page hasnt been update in some time and I have time on Citation Mustangs. Current FAA and Canadian ATPL. How difficult could it be to get an answer?
Re: Gsky??
ops manager let go , 3 pilots laid off just recently, big re vamp of company so don;t go there for a job
possible future opportunities

Re: Gsky??
Could be a place to grow into, summer is coming and by the looks of it they have a DHC-6 that may need some pilots and also a King Air 90? Surely they will need more then just a few pilots to run all those aircraft. Do they not have a could Citations as well? It wont be for 2/3 more months that I move up. The price of oil has delayed our move north just a tad. Well if they Ops man was laid off that may explain why my calls were never answered! Always say yes to a charter/flight, always have someone answer the phone, isn't that one of the rules to running a company?
Thanks Kilp.

Re: Gsky??
Due to falling oil prices... the pay is now:

$200
Geez did I say that....? Or just think it....?
Re: Gsky??
Looks like they are hiring again. Just as Canadian crude is trading at $23!
