Does navcanada have a dress code? Wondering what is appropriate for a student . Thx

Nav Canada doesn't really have a dress code. If you're showing up for training I'd suggest a button up shirt or a polo for the first few days and then dress however your instructors are dressed. Nobody expects a suit and tie, so something neat and presentable.

What region are you training in?

When I was at CZEG for my interview/tour I legit saw people in sweats walking around, plenty of people in jeans/t-shirt, and at least one person on the control floor wearing a snuggie. I didn't get the impression anyone cared what you wear.

In a professional environment, it's always better to be overdressed than underdressed. Too casual and you give the impression that you don't care about your appearance and how you present yourself which can translate into an impression that if you don't care about yourself, how much can you really care about the job...

First impressions last forever so dress up to make a good impression. No need suit and tie but business casual. After that you can tone down a bit but don't wear jogging pants etc...jeans and polo are accepted

I heard great advice at an Aviation Career Expo this weekend from a job panel which included a member from Nav Canada:

'Don't dress for the job you have today, dress for the job you want to have tomorrow'

Good leaders are always looking for the next leaders in their organizations. Making a good impression by having the right attitude and dressing professionally is part of that in any business.
