New Hire Questions

Post by gopher_killer »

I was wondering if anyone knows about upcoming GS dates? Is Jazz still running GS's every couple of weeks and will this continue over the summer?

I was also wondering if there is a waiting period between one's initial GS and being able to bid for base movement? For example, if I draw the Classic in YUL, can I bid YYZ in the summer bid?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think there are plans for GS soon; although it will have to spool up fast if AC decides to hire again. Sim evals are still ongoing.

You can bid a change in base on Day 2, as soon as you're set-up on the website.

Which won't really be awarded until the next new hire class IF there is a vacancy that you are bidding on

Word is AC will be spooling up hiring in the fall again and taking a significant amount of Jazz people off the PML list. Along with those taking early retirement packages after the busy summer season there should be a big need for new hires.

There is no crew base in Ottawa. Montreal is the closest.
Judging by the number of names on the sign in sheet at the crew hotel in Ottawa, the company could probably justify having a base there.

Can anyone who has been hired recently (and especially under the new agreement) please tell me how the experience has been compared to what they were told during the interview and training processes (and compared to the noise on Avcanada)?
PM is preferred.

Thanks
