I also miss the CanadianAviation.com forum. Wasn't that "the meeting place" back then? I think Bird Dog is right-- things were getting out of hand and, if I may say so, some of us ruined it for all the others.

Actually, the original site shut down after it was sold to the people who run wings magazine. I guess they had no interest in a forum as they never attempted to run it.

The old owner has since started up again at http://www.caaviation.com and quite a few of the old members have come over to it. There was some problems on it of late but I think the cause of the problems has gone away.

That's a shame. I used to frequent the forum and check out the Wings portion too. I guess the out-of-sight-out-of-mind theory holds true-- let the Wings subscription lapse, haven't missed it, don't even know what is in the current ones these days.

Actually, the site CanadianAviation.com was never sold to Wings, they owned it to begin with, I just managed it for them. I left them last March only because I wanted to offer more content. I was also surprised that they let the forums close down.
