Summit Avro RJ85's YEG

Hey I was just wondering if anyone had an information on Summits YEG Base for the Avro RJ85s? WACO? People happy? Long Term Contracts....etc!? Just doing some homework!

Running down our profession, picking up chisel charter flying, under bidding, basically working for an airline (7f) that has pilots now laid-off and bases closed due to their engagement.

Hmmm first few times I saw the RJ in YEV I thought they were just filling in. Now I hear that they've been doing that run for a few months now. What happened to the 37's 7F was running up here? They flying somewhere else or have then gone home to roost?

Our Executive management are pleased to call this a "strategic partnership". In other words Summits cost per seat/mile is less than 7F's so they do some of our flying now. It's a slippery slope but I won't air dirty laundry here.

I'm curious how much lower the cost would be.

Obviously, a cheaper aircraft, assuming lease rate isn't horrendous and maintenance costs aren't exorbitant. Cheaper crews too.

But I would assume that 7F pays Summit the same amount no matter what the load factor is for each flight, Summit would have guaranteed revenue, no?

Are the 737's re-deployed elsewhere or are the crews laid off?
