After talking with the anti-terrorism officer for the OPP at YHM, I understand that it is done here in Canada.

I'm mediterranean, dark hair, dark eyes, dark skin, and chrisitan from the land of Christ. if i get lazy and not shave for a week, and i'll be stopped at every single airport. :butthead:

When you have a cold, do you take a halls for your throat, or do you find what caused the cold and treat that?

Apply the same practice (guessing, since that's all it is) in your cockpit, and see how far you'll go.

p.s. there are many blonde blue eyed muslims, it's not always like this :axe:

The war on terror is a FUCKING JOKE. There may be a terrorist threat, but there are way more dangerous threats out there.

Obesity
Drunk driving
Bad driving
Good driving
Flying
Smoking
Golf
Diabetes
AIDS

Feel free to add more. All of these have killed more americans than any terrorist. (I'm not counting the troops in Iraq.)

This terrorist crap is produced by the government to keep the masses at bay.

Racially profile this, Dubya. :@#$!:

Asshole.

Well lets say you are a cop in a london subway right about now, are you going to follow the white kid with a bulky coat and backpack or the dark guy with a bulky coat and backpack?

I realize 99.99999% of mulsims are Not terrorists but that .00000001% But I would rather the police stop and inconvienence a few innocent poeple and stop a bombing than be politically correct and let one through.

Cheers

Hi Floats!

He can post whatever he wants, whenever he wants, wherever he wants. As long as we're telling people where to go, how about you crawl on back to the bush pilot forum? I hear they just cracked open a new box of crayolas. See how not nice that sounds? Not cool, right? Ok now let's all apologize and get on with being best of friends. "I'm Sorry"...now your turn.

Funny thing ISTP kind of hints at are the statistics as far as threats go.
Heard this on NPR the other day:

Chance of being killed due to terrorist actions: 1 in 700,000
Chance of being struck by lightning: 1 in 600,000
Chance of being killed in any kind of aircraft accident: 1 in 354,000
Chance of earth being hit by this 2012 (?) comet: 1 in 15,000
Chance of being murdered: 1 in 18,000
Chance your murderer won't be convicted: 1 in 2 (USA)
Chance of being killed in an car accident: 1 in 18,585
Chance of being the victim of a serious crime: 1 in 20

Chance of having a stroke: 1 in 6
Chance of dying from heart disease: 1 in 3
Chance of American man developing cancer in his lifetime: 1 in 2
Chance of an American woman developing cancer in her lifetime: 1 in 3
Chance of contracting the human version of mad cow disease: 1 in 40,000,000

So now, does ISTP have some sort of point? Apparently, so.

These odds don't make it easier on families that have lost loved ones in terrorist attacks, but imagine if the US through billions of dollars more at lowering crime rates!

hey no arguments here, that there are other serious issues that need to be tackled. I was poking at "This terrorist crap is produced by the government to keep the masses at bay" I hate this anti-govt conspiracy crap.

And unfortunitly, as most liberals have not figured out, throwing more money at something isn't the answer.
Maybe if we want to lower crime, racial profiling would help?

the americans just want to have some kind of war going on, any war is fine by them.

Remember these:

War on Drugs

Mexican War (1846)

Civil War

Vietnam (i still hate americans for the way they treated the vets of that war)

I'm done, anyone care to add any other bullshit wars fought by americans.

P.S. "the terrorists hate our freedom" George Bush
No they dont, they hate you cause your an asshole

Dear Santa,

I'd like to explain my "conspiracy theory". And it's one that some agree with. It has been developed from watching different TV news documentaries, reading this and that in print, and hitting different websites. I'm not huge on digging for facts to back it up, because I don't really feel I need to justify my ideas to myself by making footnotes in my brain.

ISTP's theory on The War on Terror:

The american government needs to protect its oil supply to remain the most powerful and wealthy country on earth. This requires a certain amount of military force, as they are not self sufficient with their oil supply. The american people historically like life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. They dislike the idea of invading other countries.

BUT, any society under threat, whether overt or implied will defend itself to protect its children, jobs, SUVs or other property.

The real threat to the american way of life is the lack of cheap oil, but Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz etc. couldn't just say, "We wanted to control the Iraq oil fields, so we sent in the Marines." The american people, freedom lovers that they are, would never have stood for that. So...

After the 9/11 attack (which I don't think the Bush administration had anything to do with) came the perfect opportunity to create the myth that every citizen of the USA is in danger to justify the invasion of Iraq. (Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz wanted to do that back with Bush Sr. but the political climate wasn't there.)

So, to protect the american way of life, the politicians must keep the "masses at bay" through a percieved threat on their quality of life (terrorism), not the real threat (lack of cheap oil). Hence the WAR ON TERROR. Could you imagine THE WAR ON GASOLINE PRICES?

The underlings of Bush, Cheney etc. are merely mindless bureaucrats doing what they're told by their puppet masters ie. "We're at war now, think of something to help us find these terrorists. Now GO!" "Uh, Mr. Bush, what about we interrogate everyone with black hair?" "Sure, I don't care just DO IT!"

Racial profiling is one thing that will help the americans control the Gulf region- by keeping the masses' minds off the real threat- lack of oil.

There you go. As far as Bush being an asshole. That's just my opinion. Unless someone has pictures of Bush shovelling an old ladies driveway, pushing a car out of a snow-bank, giving a nickel to a UNICEF box, putting a band-aid on a kid's knee, or helping someone with their homework, my opinion will stay the same. And I want a train set for Christmas.

That's all conjecture but it's a well thought out conjecture.
The US administration (Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz ect) are now saying that Iran was behind 9,11. Hmmm, do you thing they'll chalk it up to a spelling mistake? Iran, Iraq, Iran, Iraq. :smt119

Thats better Istp!!!!

I like it, but I still don"t agree, I can't wait to hear your thoughts when a smuggled dirty bomb goes off in the US, I would not be suprized if one did.

I believe the US, as a world leader needs to be more proactive in riding the world of tryants, rather than appease them. I'm not sure who said it "but those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it"

You may disagree with Bush's policy, but one can't argue that he ia a leader, something that this country has lacked for a very long time

Bush is an idiot, every time that I see his smug ass on TV I just want to kick the screen in. I'm not saying that there isn't a threat from terrorists, sure there is, but everything that the states is doing to fight it is only making matters worse and justifying their cause. Profiling could save lives so it should be done, I think that if I went to Iraq right now someone would profile me pretty quick, and I'd be dead pretty soon after. What’s worse, a few innocent people get inconvenienced or a few innocent people get blown all over the subway?

Nope, ..I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you?
So, to ensure we never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing airport security screeners
we should not be allowed to profile certain people.
They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women,
little kids and airline pilots with proper identification,
(hakaaf) but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone lest we be guilty of profiling.
Sounds V E R Y politically correct to me.

Strange how nearly every Drug exporting country has some form of warfare going on .Does anyone think that there may be some connection between so-called terrorist and druglords/warlords .I wonder what fate awaits us if we continue to allow our country to be used for the export of drugs.

Maybe we'd be run by some radical bozos that will make us eat peameal bacon, go camping and drink beer, force us to watch hockey, and have mandatory snowball fights in the winter.

It's too cold up here for terrorists. Nowadays, terrorists are from countries without snow.
